Pubs often follow the English Pub and Irish Pub tradition, and we have built bespoke pubs along these lines. We normally build our pubs in modular sections that are simple to assemble on site. They are built of great solid sections of either reclaimed (when available) or harvested Zambezi Teak, though if you prefer other hardwoods, such as African Bloodwood (aka Mukwa or Kiaat) or old growth Saligna, we can normally source this for you. The largest pub we made was based on the English pub tradition and over 14 meters long for a conference centre in Canada. It was built in modular sections and shipped in three shipping containers and assembled on site without any difficulty.
We build pubs for hotels, restaurants, camps and lodges, and private households.
For seating around the pub we have three recommendations:
- Our leather bar carver with beautifully curved armrest and deep comfortable back and seat. The leather is pure veg tanned harness leather hand stitched and riveted. Just too comfortable!
- The old favourite – Round Bar stool with well shaped seat!
- Our all time best seller bar chair – simply known as the Wrought Iron Bar chair. Very comfortable and ideal when space is limited.

At The African Touch we can build components and complete units for your projects from solid wood. Unfortunately because of distance, we cannot always install, but this task is normally carried out by your specified builder or specialist. We construct to your specifications and technical drawings, and can offer advice where needed. The great advantage of this is that you can enjoy the luxury of the finest hardwood fitted units anywhere in the world at a much reduced cost! Below are just a few examples of what we have done.
