The Design.
The Director’s Bar Chair design is based on that of our Safari Director’s Chair but with beefed up legs and cross rails. This is necessary because of the extra height. It is very comfortable and incorporates our extra wide self-tightening seat system. A broad armrest gives ample room for a glass or cup. The bar chair folds for convenient storage or ease of transport. The chair is rated to carry clients up to 150kg. A footrail is easily attached with joining screws at the right height to allow feet to rest on it while sitting in the chair.
Material and seat covers:
Built from solid Zambezi Teak, it is very durable and suitable for use in commercial environments. We also offer in African Mahogany.
The seat covers offered are double quilted UV stabilised, waterproof ripstop canvas or luxurious pure veg tanned bovine full thickness harness leather. Both are very comfortable, but the latter really is the ultimate in pub comfort! We recommend the ripstop for outdoor use.
The Director’s Bar Chair is finished standard with lacquer, which brings out the beautiful colour and grain of the wood. However, for outdoor use we recommend an oil finish.
Uses for the Director’s Bar Chair:
This chair is suitable for an application calling for a high chair that you want to be very comfortable and secure. Naturally it is ideal for pubs, high kitchen counters or high tables. However it has also been used in Safari Camps on decks with viewing ledges or high bar tables overlooking water holes, etc.
