The Design
Clients asked us for a comfortable, foldable safari stool to take on game drives and for sundowners on magnificent African river banks in the evening. We designed a stool that is carefully built by hand with very accurate mortice and tenon joints to give a tough, stable stool. The self-tightening waterproof canvas seat is securely attached with steel cleats. The Safari Stool comes from the same stable as the Safari Director’s Chair and also makes a great folding footstool for the Safari Director’s Chair!
The timber we use.
There are two timber options for the Safari Stool. African Mahogany is a more traditional timber with a beautiful dark brown colour. Then there is that finest of hardwoods, Zambezi Teak, also known as Rhodesian Teak.
Seat
The seat is built from tough, waterproof and UV resistant canvas that is also rip-proof. An ideal material for heavy duty outdoor use.
Uses
The Folding Safari Stool is great as a folding camping stool or to sit around a fire in the evenings. It has been used as a dressing table stool or desk stool, or as convenient extras to be stowed away for visitors.
