All hotels, lodges even private homes need luggage racks. They often take a heavy workload, and need to be tough and well built. And they need to look good – they are a central furniture piece of the bedroom. For these reasons, we came up with the Slatted version. The stout Zambezi teak legs can carry any weight. The top consists of teak planks secured with two under beams that makes it rigid and very strong. The leading edges are rounded to avoid sharp corners catching guests legs. Most noteworthy, however, and probably the most important feature is the beautiful colour and grain of the Zambezi Teak, wonderfully finished to give a stunningly good looking piece.
The Material used.
We are very lucky to live in a forested province where occurs possibly the finest hardwood in the world, Rhodesian Teak. Now known as Zambezi Teak this is an exceptional furniture timber. A very hard hardwood, it works beautifully and gives exceptionally strong joints when properly executed. It finishes beautifully well with a tight, interesting grain and colour. Because of these points it makes a perfect luggage rack!
Uses of the Slatted luggage rack
