The Victoria Falls Hotel is the Grand Old Lady of hotels in the region. Over the years we have done much of the furniture for this favourite of hotels, but probably the most impressive was the pub we built for the Stanley Room. Built entirely of reclaimed African hardwood and Zimbabwe granite, management had a very tight deadline, and we were given 11 days to design, build and install the pub.
Our teams worked late into the night of the final day and the job was delivered on time. The timber came from reclaimed old railway sleepers, a fitting tribute to the origins of the hotel which was built by Rhodesia Railways in the early 1900s.
The granite came from the Mutoko area of Eastern Zimbabwe, and was specially cut for us and shipped on time for the completion of the pub.
