Insika Sabi is the newest addition to the Insika Lodge group in Victoria Falls.
Designed to offer guests a refined, contemporary stay while remaining closely connected to its African setting, Insika Sabi is a beautiful example of thoughtful hospitality design. We were proud to work alongside the team on a wide range of custom furniture and joinery pieces created specifically for the property.
Throughout the guest rooms, The African Touch supplied the hardwood furniture, with each piece made to complement the lodge’s warm, natural interiors and understated safari aesthetic. From functional bedroom furniture to carefully considered finishing pieces, the focus throughout was on durability, craftsmanship and creating furniture that feels completely at home within the space.
Beyond the guest rooms, our workshop also produced the custom-built hardwood reception and bar counter tops, helping to create strong focal points within the lodge’s main communal areas. These substantial timber elements bring warmth and character to the interiors while being designed to withstand the demands of a busy hospitality environment.
For the outdoor areas, we supplied hardwood pool sun loungers, extending the same design language from the interiors out towards the swimming pool and relaxation spaces.
One of our favourite details within the project is the collection of live edge hardwood bathroom vanities used throughout the property. Each vanity retains the natural edge and individual character of the timber, meaning no two pieces are exactly alike. The result is a beautifully tactile feature that introduces the organic texture of natural wood into the bathrooms.
Projects such as Insika Sabi are an important part of what we do at The African Touch. Our workshop allows us to manufacture individual statement pieces to complete furniture packages for lodges, hotels and hospitality developments, with custom dimensions, timber selections and finishes tailored to each project.
It is particularly rewarding to see furniture made here in Victoria Falls become part of another exceptional property within our home town.
