The River Brewing Company is the first micro-brewery in the resort town of Victoria Falls. Designer Mike Danes commissioned us to build the pub for the Brewery to his design.
We built the frame of the bar in sections from 75 x 75mm steel box section at our workshop. The top and shelving were made from solid six meter long slabs of Zambezi teak. The front panels were laser cut to Mike’s design and finished to his specs.
The steel frames were assembled onsite and bolted to the floor, before the teak tops and shelving were secured with steel brackets to the frame in such a way as to allow for the natural movement of solid wood. Finally the front panels were riveted to the steel frame, giving a very pleasing, industrial look.
