Over the years we have supplied a many number of Wilderness Destinations camps and lodges with a wide variety of furniture. Not surprisingly, our camp restaurant tables and director’s chairs have been the most popular items, followed by our Hemingway Field Bars and Expedition Folding Tables on guest tent/room verandahs.
Probably our most favourite camp of all has to be Davisons Camp (now Wilderness Davison’s) in Hwange National Park. Wilderness Davison’s in Hwange National Park captures the true spirit of an African safari, where crisp mornings, warm afternoons, breath-taking sunsets and fireside chats set the day’s tempo. Named after the first warden of Hwange National Park , Davison’s offers a timeless, classic safari experience. Nestled in a grove of false mopane trees, nine, airy en-suite tents, including a family unit, make up the accommodation at Davison’s. Inspired by the natural palette beyond the camp, African décor and earthy tones create a calm, authentic atmosphere.
Here at Wilderness Davisons you can find a number of our iconic furniture pieces. Namely The Bridge Server – a hardwood dining server in the dining area on which all food is served. Our square hardwood restaurant tables and Kruger Directors Chairs at which all meals are served. In the lounge area you will find a large custom hardwood campaign trunk which serves as both a coffee table as well as storage for cushions not in use. And lastly, our grand Hemingway Field Bar sits to serve guests with whatever refreshment calls them.Â
