The Design
Our Restaurant Table is a simple but highly rugged 4 seater table design that emphasises the intrinsic beauty, wonderful grain and deep, rich colour of the timber from which it is made, Zambezi Teak.
The table top can be made to the size you require, within limits. The leg arrangement makes for plenty of leg room and the tables can be pushed together to make a larger dining or conference table.
The leg rails and top rails are built in pairs from a single hardwood planks right through the hardwood column. They cross in the column with a tight half-lap joint laminated together and to the column, forming a rigid, solid X. With a depth of 100 mm tapering slightly to the ends the rails have excellent flexor strength and thus create a very stable base for the restaurant table.
Materials used
The Restaurant Table is constructed from beautiful Zambezi Teak, formerly known as Rhodesian Teak. It is an exceptionally hard and durable timber, and thus long-lasting.
Uses of the Restaurant Table.
Naturally this 4 seater table is very suitable for restaurants! The central column means the guest’s legs are not hindered by the table. The square-shaped top allows tables to be set up end to end to make up one long table or in a ‘U’ arrangement for conference rooms. It is used in boardrooms where again it can be set up in different combinations. it is ideal for small homes or flats, and in self-catering lodges for the guests. It is an exceptionally versatile table.
The Kariba chair or restaurant chair is often used with the restaurant table
